Silverback Alpha Series Bourbon

- SILVERBACK DISTILLERY

Peggy

Nose: Blast of herbs and cane sugar. Honey-rich essence with sweet corn meal and granola. Light butterscotch and toffee. Mandarin orange and a quick pack of peach.

Palate: Coriander and mixed peppercorn clamps down at first sip. The oak spikes with toasted wood sugar and accents of cinnamon and anise.

Finish: A wild ride of bold spices that settle in and become earthy and nicely warm.

Comments: For the spice lover that loves the one-two punch.

Susan

Nose: Lots of vanilla and caramel with a good deal of humidor aroma. There’s some baking spice. Think rich pipe tobacco or a good cigar.

Palate: The tobacco notes dominate and are joined by ripe apples and black pepper shored up by oak tannins.

Finish: Very long. The tobacco and the pepper take the lead.

Comments: A fine whiskey for a cold evening. Very sippable at this proof. Add some water to amplify the fruit. This would go very well with a cigar or pipe. 8.1
