Smooth Ambler Old Scout Bourbon
Peggy
Nose: Honeyed granola. Caraway seed and white pepper. Orange blossom and faint honeysuckle. Airy apricot and slivered almonds. Cornbread with maple syrup
Palate: Grainy before the vanilla and honey. Golden raisin with sprinkles of cardamom and cinnamon that give a bit of heat.
Finish: The oak notes play during the finish with zesty cayenne that completes the flavors.
Comments: Made for a highball that you wish to heighten with spice.

Nose: Caramel corn with old wood and a touch of allspice. After some time in the glass, grain predominates.
Palate: Initial impression of apples, followed by caramel and the allspice from the nose. Well balanced, but not complex.
Finish: Short. Quickly dries to peppery oak.
Comments: Water made a significant difference by releasing more baking spice and fruit. Drink with a splash. Would be better for an Old Fashioned than a Manhattan. 7.4
