Where? South of Cardiff city centre, CF10 5AL. Day tickets £8. Cardiff Harbour Authority annual permit £47, from the Bay Visitor Centre, Channel View Leisure Centre or tackle shops in Cardiff, before fishing. Fishing only from designated areas.

What’s being caught? Carp to 19 lb, along with perch of over 3 lb and pike to doubles. Tactics? Feeder and corn for the carp, and a variety of lures for the pike and perch.

Tactics? Groundbait feeder and maggots at 20 m for the bream and roach, or further out with pop-ups for the carp.
