Helping us help others

Anglers Mail - - Anglers -

THANK YOU to Mike and Denise Mason and their staff for fantastic hospitality, and for making us reach a magic sum of money at our fishing competition, at their famous Woodland View Fishery, near Droitwich.

Our club had 31 anglers attend the event, with fantastic weather and great fishing on the day.

We raised £705 for families and children of the Ukrainian war heroes, via the charity Sumna Kvitka (Mourning Flower). With the current conflict with Russia in eastern Ukraine, it will bring some joy, helping fund primary children’s school uniforms, pencils and mini rucksacks, along with toys for Christmas.

Ian Madylus, Rybalsky Fishing Club treasurer and secretary.

Bailey backing

BEING an avid river angler, I’m in absolute 100 per cent support of John Bailey re-stocking the river with the ‘baby’ roach (AM, Sept 4). Everyone benefits.

In these troubled times, I’m a big believer in the saying: ‘There’s how it is… and how it should be.’

Go for it, JB!
