What’s be­ing caught? Some good bags of bream re­ported, one an­gler catch­ing 50 lb-plus in an early morn­ing ses­sion. Plenty of small roach, perch, skim­mers, chublets, dace and bleak feed­ing as well.

Tac­tics? Ground­bait feeder with chopped worm and cast­ers three-quar­ters across for the bream and skim­mers. Stick float, Bolo’, pole or whip with mag­gots for plenty of bites from small fish.

What’s be­ing caught? Roach, perch, bream, chub and oc­ca­sional barbel. Re­cent match won with a dou­ble-fig­ure bag of roach and perch on a clear river. A few bream hooked, but a bit of colour needed to im­prove the best bream sport. Tac­tics? Pole, whip, big stick or Bolo’ float for mixed bags. Open-end feeder with ground­bait and plenty of chopped worm and cast­ers for the bream.
