A PAIR of 7 lb 10 oz chub have been caught from the River Lea, including this cracker to Kings Weir fishery manager Andrew Tredgett. The 34-year-old from Epping, in Essex, was hopeful of a big fish, after watching them for a few months and landing a 6 lb 13 oz specimen on his previous session.Andrew said: “I thought of trying something different and unconventional, so I liquidised some bread, but added boilies for extra attraction.“I fed this into the spot little and often for over an hour, then left it to rest. I got my rig ready, with my home-made bait screw and a 15 mm dumbbell boilie glugged since the Close Season, then I cast out on the baited spot and sat down, waiting for a bite.“The chub made themselves known, by making a splash while feeding on any freebies floating down.“It didn’t take long before the rod tip bounced twice. I struck and felt the fish shaking it’s head
