What’s being caught? Bite-a-chuck action with roach averaging 2 oz at pegs near Money Bridge, on the B1180 roadside stretch. Perch to 2 lb-plus and pike to doubles also feeding, but tench sport has faded.
Tactics? Whip or short pole with pinkies and groundbait, feeding a tiny nugget of crumb every cast, for roach bags to 20 lb. Bread punch with white crumb or liquidised bread feed also effective. Chopped worm or ultra-light lures for the perch. Pike on float fished livebaits.

An impressive stamp of roach showing, including fish to 1 lb-plus, with bream to 4 lb, perch to 1 lb and pike to 18 lb in the city centre stretches. Pegs between the basin and Carrow Bridge are always reliable. Boat anglers are enjoying the best of the pike action.
Tactics? Long whip, pole or stick float with maggots, hemp and casters for the roach. Groundbait feeder or long pole with worm and casters for the bream. Trotted livebaits best for the pike in clear water
