This Northamp­ton­shire com­plex is some­where where I used to fish a lot with my dad when I was a kid. We would go camp­ing in the car­a­van and the whole fam­ily would fish for days. As I got older, I re­mem­ber hav­ing a brace of 30s out of the Lilly Lake – and what a lake it was. It’s called Lilly for a very good rea­son! There’s fish­ing and fun on this site for ev­ery­one, and it’s a place that I will be tak­ing my kids to in years to come.

The Lavers, near On­gar, in Es­sex. town, in New York state, is full of water… and the water is full of carp. The Amer­i­cans are al­ways so po­lite, and make you so wel­come when you go there, and it’s some­where where I have al­ways en­joyed fish­ing.

The main carp venue here, the Seneca, is a river, so it makes for very chal­leng­ing fish­ing.
