Anglers Mail - - Anglers -

THE other day, Simon Ratcliffe, my social media and website guru, told me that there were over half a million people searching out information on river watercraft last year. I really am ecstatic that so many anglers want to get into rivers.

I’m even more chuffed that they want knowledge about watercraft, not simply more stuff on baits and rigs.

In my book, watercraft is THE skill. If you’re not finding fish, even the best bait ever on the most devastating of rigs won’t get you a bite.

Over the next three issues of Angler's Mail I'm going to guide you through some of the key river features, showing you how to tackle them between now and the end of the season.

Bridges are banker winter swims on rivers.

The perfect hole behind a fallen tree. 24
