POLE TO HAND ESSENTIALS
A heavy pole float is required to allow you to swing the rig into place. Try a 0.4g Drennan AS but make sure the tip is well dotted down.
Bronze maggots are underused on commercials but they tend to pick out the better stamp roach, bream, tench and perch.
Feeding every drop-in is very important but don’t introduce too many maggots each time. Throwing around 10 maggots around the float every cast is more than ample.
Use light but balanced tackle with the pole to hand. Rig up a 0.13mm mainline to an 0.11mm hooklength and a size 18 hook.
Silvers are the target but carp and F1s may show up too. If they do, continue to feed while you play them to keep the shoal occupied.
