Tunnel Barn Farm packed full of fish

-

IF YOU’RE fed up with fishing on featureless commercial stillwaters, how about taking a trip to Tunnel Barn Farm this weekend?

The Warwickshire venue is different from a lot of match-style waters in that it prides itself on offering anglers pegs where bankside vegetation, intimacy and bites don’t come at a premium.

The venue is also in red-hot

form right now, so what better time to visit? With numerous pools to choose from, anglers can take their pick according to what they want to catch.

For a mixed net of barbel, carp, F1s, skimmers and roach, House Pool makes a good choice. There are islands all round this 5ft-6ft deep pool and these can be targeted on either the long pole or bomb and feeder.

If you prefer to fish for big lumps and watch your elastic stream out of your pole then head to Club Pool.

The carp in this lake run to double figures and can be caught down the edge or tight to the island at this time of year. Take a variety of baits to see which works best on the day. PRICES: £9 a day, £7 concessions
