We reveal TWO new TV series set to hit our screens
New series, two more in the pipeline
THE premiere of the second series of Monster Carp hits our TV screens tonight in what is a big news week for fishing on television.
At 8pm on ITV4 the incredibly popular show will see Korda’s Ali Hamidi, Tom Dove and Neil Spooner travel the globe to do battle with some of the biggest carp on the planet, immersing themselves in the culture and embarking on once-in-a-lifetime adventures at amazing venues.
The host destinations for the four action-packed one-hour shows are Texas, Croatia, Morocco and South Africa, where the three experience some of the best fishing of their lives in television that will have anglers and nonanglers alike glued to their screens throughout July.
Korda, the company behind many of the sport’s most popular TV shows, has revealed even more great news for angling on terrestrial TV. A brand new show for ITV4 launches later this year and filming for series four of The Big Fish Off is underway too.
“This series of Monster Carp is a must see,” said Ali Hamidi.
“We catch species that we’ve never caught before, and the episode in Croatia is a carphauling fish fest. You won’t believe how many huge fish we catch.
“Along with the new series of Monster Carp we can reveal that our brand new fishing show to replace Fishing Gurus is called Fishing Allstars and will be presented by Dean Macey and
Adam Rooney. This show is going to be huge as well.
“With this, Monster Carp and The Big Fish Off, we now have so many fishing-related bases covered and hopefully something for everyone.
“In the beginning, terrestrial TV was a pipe dream, but now, with the incredible support and backing of ITV we have three shows. What a great victory for our sport!”
Fishing Allstars sees Dean and Adam travel across the UK and Europe to take part in actionpacked fishing challenges.
During their travels they gain an appreciation of their surroundings and push their angling skills and knowledge to the limit.
“We are flat out with filming at the moment and it’s so exciting to have a brand new show for you all too,” said Dean. “Although Fishing Allstars will attract the attention of anglers, its sure to interest those with a passion for nature, sport and the great outdoors too.
Both the second series of Fishing Allstars and season four of The Big Fish Off are currently being filmed and will be aired on ITV4 in 2018.
