Are clear wagglers any good?

ARE clear wagglers all they’re cracked up to be?

James Prideaux, Truro

CLEAR, plastic wagglers were invented by master float maker Peter Drennan to fish close in on clear gravel pits for tench that were being scared by traditional floats.

Peter saw an immediate improvement in his catches, and the ‘Crystal’ float was born.

Since then, many other types of clear plastic float have been developed. Those made from plastic are stronger and more consistent in shotting than floats made from natural peacock quill. Now, you’ll find clear floats in almost every type imaginable, from chunky chubbers to delicate pole floats.
