HOW TO TIE THE GRINNER KNOT

THE grinner knot is the best way of attaching line to eyed hooks, swivels or beads, as in the feeder rig above. Here’s how to tie it…

1 Thread your line through the eye of the bead, hook or swivel and form a loop.

2 Pass the end of your line through the loop like this.

3 Continue passing the line through the loop, five or six times.

4 Pull the tag end to tighten the knot, ensuring the coils are neat.

5 Moisten and pull on the mainline so the knot sits snugly against the eye. Trim the tag end.
