AMAZING DAYS I’LL REMEMBER ALL MY LIFE

IT’S HARD to believe I’ve been reading Angling Times for 50 years!

So much has happened in that time. I used to read and learn from Ivan Marks, Kevin Ashurst, Ian Heaps and a host of other star anglers who became heroes of mine. Clive Smith, Ken Giles and Max Winters were my ‘local heroes’ and I digested everything that I possibly could.

As the years went by, I couldn’t wait for Wednesday to get my weekly Angling Times ‘fix’ and it’s the same now. There’s always something new to read and learn about and I love it as much now as I did when I was a kid.

These days it arrives digitally on my iPad, not through the door. To be a part of it now, with a weekly column, gives me immense pride, and this week I’m looking back on a few special personal memories to join in with the celebrations!

Happy anniversary Angling Times…here’s to the next 65 years!
