HORSESHOE LAKE, LECHLADE, GLOUCESTERSHIRE

The Carp Society’s Horseshoe Lake has re-established its reputation as a fantastic carp water. The numbers of 30lb-plus fish are increasing each year and the fish themselves are truly stunning. The lake is also famed for its big tench, which have historically and still do reach double figures. The best method for both species is to spend some time finding a clear area in the weed. Once a spot is located, bait with a mixture of particles and fish a simple solid bag or Method feeder presentation over the top.
