GETTING TO KNOW IVAN MARKS
WHEN I was in my teens I was in awe of the late, great Ivan Marks. I once went to a Game Fair at Stoneleigh where Ivan was doing demonstrations.
I wanted to talk to him, but I was in awe of the man! As the years went on we became friends and it was a very special day when he approached me for information on his peg after the draw on a Severn match.
I couldn’t stop smiling all the way to my own peg, as I finally felt that I’d ‘arrived’ myself.
