A DOUBLE-figure barbel from the River Severn is a tough catch to make, so imagine Rob Hall’s delight when he banked three – topped by this 13lb 11oz specimen.

The media co-ordinator for Korum Tackle used a bait dropper to introduce a bed of hemp and corn into his swim, then fished Sonubaits Code Red dumbells over the top.

The same tactic accounted for the big 13 as well as other fish of 13lb 2oz and 11lb 2oz.
