BIG BASS FALL TO PAPER LURE

THREE bass, all over 7lb to a best of 7lb 5oz, were caught in Poole harbour by a holiday angler on the unusual lure of silver paper

Mr T. Robson, after fishing from a boat for two hours without a bite, decided to experiment.

Silver paper from his cigarette packet was wrapped around the shank of his hook, and drawn through the water at a slow speed near the surface.
