CAN YOU COMPLETE OUR CATCH22 FISH CHALLENGE?

Discover the rigs you need in our big guide

-

WELCOME to your Summer Special issue of Angling Times! Inside this week’s bumper magazine you’ll find loads of advice from the country’s leading experts to help you catch more fish this season.

We’re also celebrating our new Catch22 Reader Challenge which launched recently, with a huge guide to the best rigs, baits and tactics for completing our 2018 reader fish hunt.

Thousands of anglers all over the country are already taking part in our fun challenge to catch 22 different types of fish this season.

There are some really easy ones you should be able to tick off quickly with a visit to your local stillwater or river, including favourite species such as roach, chub, carp, tench and bream.

Once they’ve been collected you’ll need to work a bit harder, as the challenge targets also include some of our trickiest ‘mini species’, a mix of sea fish, and even rainbow trout!

Remember, this isn’t about catching record-breakers, it’s simply a bit of fun which may introduce you to new tactics, fish species you might not have caught before, and some great new venues.

Catch22 is free to enter. All you need to do is head to our website – www.anglingtimes.co.uk – where you’ll be able to download the official target list sheet and get loads of great tips.

We want to see your Catch22 pics too – email them to catch22fish@anglingtimes.co.uk and we’ll get them in the magazine.

I’m on 12 species already, and I wish you all the best of luck for your own challenge!
