This stretch of river is in excellent form, and in recent matches every section has been won with doublefigure bags of roach, rudd and skimmers. Feeding groundbait and fishing maggots and pinkies over the top is a good tactic if the river is carrying a bit of colour. If it’s clear then fishing with squatts or breadpunch can produce.
