CARP to over 20lb alongside double figure-bream have been caught from the Bude Canal by Kai Dickens, who targets the venue regularly. Boilies in a wide variety of flavours have been the baits Kai has used to great effect, resulting in him capturing the record bream for the canal – a cracking slab of 10lb 2oz.

The boilies are presented on carp rigs with inline leads and a wide-gape hook. Two 15mm boilies are Kai’s bait of choice, and he scatters a mix of particles around his hookbait to draw the fish into his swim.
