CRAP HACK

ESSENTIAL ADVICE FOR BANKSIDE SUCCESS...

-

FLUOROCARBON mainline has many selling points. It is nigh-on invisible, sinks like a stone and is abrasion-resistant. However, it can retain too much memory and become springy, hindering casting.

To keep your line performing to the max, tie the end of it to a fencepost or tree, and walk backwards, pointing your rod towards the tree/post, for 60-70yds or so, to stretch the line out. The result is a lovely limp line that performs to its best.

To further improve the line’s casting range, give it a spray with a light silicone oil ‘lubricant’ such Flash Dash, or a similar product that’s used to buff up car dashboards and interior plastic trim areas. You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes to your casting!
