THIS, Browning’s lightest, stiffest pole, is aimed squarely at match anglers fishing at the highest level.

Despite its name, the Sphere is ideal for commercial carp as well as light line work for F1s or silvers.

A number of innovations include ‘Multikit’, a new design of top kit that can be used as a 2.5m conventional kit or as a 1.75m one-piece kit without any loss of overall length.

‘SEPPs’ are a special version of Browning’s Square Pole Protector sections for fishing at long lengths and in windy conditions, while ‘Tactile Precision Points’ are raised areas on the butt sections that can be felt when the pole is shipped out – no need to look down for painted lines.

The ‘Extender’ is a metre-long butt section to extend the pole to 17m or give you different length options when fishing to features or islands.

A ground surface finish and minimal matt paint make for fast, easy shipping in all conditions, while carbon-banded female joints and over-wrapped male joints on highwear sections prolong the Sphere’s life. It is fully section-compatible with all Silverlite poles, and top-3 sections are compatible with all Xitan poles.

The largest (17m) set includes 13 pre-bushed Sphere Multikits, two full-length and two short C/3 sections plus a full-length D/4 section and a stiff cupping kit, all in a Xitan multi-pocket holdall.
