Filming zigs
The long hot summer was perfect for filming carp up in the water, except for one thing – algal blooms! Days were spent searching for clear lakes where I could film, and eventually all this effort paid dividends with live footage of carp circling and then taking zigs in front of me. One thing stood out from the filming – flavoured baits were taken much more confidently than unflavoured ones, with the fish homing in on the scented baits quickly. Once again, this confirmed the importance of using flavoured baits, with Monster Crab, Shellfish and Betalin all proving effective.
