Flavouring deadbaits
There is always a lot of debate about whether injecting deadbaits with oil makes any difference to their effectiveness, so this year I set out to see if I could find a definitive answer. Most of the time I have used two rods with a favoured bait on one rod and a similar unflavoured offering on the other.
The result? The flavoured bait has out-caught the unflavoured one and has shown a definite edge on tough days.
