RECORDS TUMBLE AT THE BIG ONE SHOW!

Farnborough VIP tickets sell out in record time

-

FISHING’S biggest consumer show looks set to be packed out in 2019 after news broke that VIP carp tickets for The Big One in Farnborough sold out in record time.

Now organisers are urging visitors to grab the remaining VIP packages before it’s too late with extra tickets added to the website.

The Big One, which attracts around 20,000 anglers to the event at Farnborough Airfield, boasts over 200 manufacturers and retailers, and this year will see a second hall constructed to cope with the growing demand from exhibitors and visitors.

Taking place on the weekend of March 23 & 24, the 2019 show will be the biggest ever and will feature a new demo arena – the John Wilson Super Theatre – where the sport’s biggest stars will show off their secrets on a purpose-built indoor lake.

In addition, stars of BBC and ITV fishing shows – including River Monsters’ Jeremy Wade, the Monster Carp team of Ali Hamidi, Tom Dove, and Neil Spooner, plus BBC presenter and author Will Millard – will take to the main stage to reveal their behind-the-scenes stories from their latest series.

Also appearing for the first time at Farnborough will be a Lure Live area – a big zone packed with lure-related manufacturers, retailers, and a demo tank for you to watch experts in action and try new lures for yourself.

“There are some great additions to The Big One in 2019 that I’m sure all styles of anglers will enjoy being part of and experiencing,” confirmed show director Vince Davies.

“We’re still in talks with other big names but I’m confident there will be a line-up of guests you’ll only find at The Big One.”

It’s not just anglers in the South who are in for a treat in 2019, as Midlands anglers are set to get their own event – a second Big One show – which will take place at Stoneleigh Park on April 13 & 14.

More than 80 manufacturers and retailers are already confirmed for Stoneleigh, including Nash, Shimano, MAP, Wychwood, Rod Hutchinson, CC Moore, Total Fishing Tackle, Sonik, Ridge Monkey, Stickbaits, Crafty Catcher, Maver, Vale Royal, NGT and Eric’s Angling.
