Phil Randall had success on this five-acre irrigation reservoir when at first light his bait was picked up by this fine 19lb common.
It’s not just carp to 30lb in this water – it’s also home to bream to 9lb, tench to 8lb, rudd and roach to 3lb and some large pike.

RIVER GREAT OUSE, WOLVERTON, BEDFORDSHIRE
Brown’s Angling manager Derren Durr enjoyed a brilliant session on a falling Great Ouse, taking a pair of chub close to 5lb apiece.
The fishing along this stretch suits the roving angler and there are plenty of ‘Crabtree-style’ swims to target for the chub.
Derren used legered meat to fool his fish, but cheesepaste and worms can also be effective.
Quality perch and roach to 2lb can be found in the deeper swims and will readily take a feeder fished maggot.

SALE WATER PARK, MANCHESTER, LANCASHIRE
Liam Bradley targeted the 52-acre Sale Water Park in Manchester recently and was rewarded for his efforts with this beautiful pike of 22lb 2oz.
He fished lures to hook into the formidable predator, which took a Strike Pro Buster Jerk 2 in a pike coloured pattern.
