RING SIZE TIP TEST CURVE

TRY casting with a braid mainline and shockleader using a quivertip with small rings on it and you’re asking for trouble from a ‘crack off’ or the braid getting stuck in the rings and breaking the tip.

My simple rule is that if you’re fishing braid, pick a tip that has big rings to let the braid and shockleader knot pass through it easily. This won’t impede the cast in any way.
