AWM Clayton is a part of the MM Electrical Merchandising network of 340 service centres across Australia and is proud of our strong relationship with Bombardier Transportation Australia.

AWM began in Melbourne in 1968 and was acquired in 1981 by Metal Manufactures Ltd and so with our strong Victorian foundations we are enormously proud to play a role in supporting such innovative local manufacturing.

Our relationship with Bombardier continually challenges us to improve and refine our global sourcing infrastructure to eliminate production downtime. Electrical and Industrial Components is a complex product category to manage, it requires experience, flexibility, attention to detail and strong supply chain relationships.

Our Vendor Managed Inventory programs are tailored for individual project requirements focusing on ensuring timely component delivery.

This year has been a clear example that not all things go according to plan, but our broad support network enables us to respond to unexpected challenges and ensure production continues.

This relationship is rewarding beyond any financial consideration. We felt a sense of accomplishment when Bombardier recently won Australian Design Awards for their trains and of course when we see the finished product in action there is an accompanying sense of pride.
