Happy New Year from the FAB Guide TEAM!

Your FAB Guide (FAB meaning, Families in Argyll and Beyond!) forms an integral part of the Oban Times as a special pullout and keep supplement, once every 3 months. You will find tonnes of great information on local clubs, groups, activities and events that you tell us you have found to be so useful. We are delighted to now include Lochaber, with a run-down of all the sporting, social and fitness clubs in the area that we can find. Please do let us know if you run a club or group for children and their parents or guardians – we want to help you spread the word far and wide. This issue focuses on Childcare Choices. This special feature gives parents and guardians a greater insight into the range of Early Learning & Childcare Centres in their area so that they are better equipped to decide with ELC is best for their child. Children born between the 1 March 2013 and 28 February 2015 are entitled to a funded Early Learning and Childcare place. The registration period is week commencing 13th February in the Highland Council region and 20th February in the Argyll & Bute region. Parents have all of this week to register their child at the ELC of their choice with their local Council. See pages 8-11 of this supplement for more information.
