New premises for estate agency

-

THE LONG-ESTABLISHED local, legal and estate agency firm of Stewart Balfour & Sutherland has moved into a new custom designed and refurbished office at 7 Argyll Street, Lochgilphead.

The former retail shop and flat above had been vacant for a number of years and had, unfortunately, become an eyesore. The refurbishment has brought the property back to life and has helped to brighten up the street.

The new office was officially opened for the firm on Tuesday February 14 by Jean Carse, the face of Stewart Balfour & Sutherland in Lochgilphead for 24 years until her retiral in 2014.

Representatives of the contractors MacLeod Construction Limited and architects Tom McCardel Associates were in attendance, along with Stewart Balfour & Sutherland’s current team.

‘It’s taken us a while but we are delighted with the end result,’ said Iain Ferguson, the firm’s senior partner.

‘The opening of 7 Argyll Street provides us with an enhanced profile in Mid Argyll and will allow us to handle clients’ business more efficiently and effectively.’

Stewart Balfour & Sutherland provides an extensive range of services including full estate agency and marketing of properties, legal contracts and property conveyancing, trusts and executries, civil court work and all types of private and personal client work.
