Inspiring Inveraray
A MID Argyll community company has been given a new lease of life after members agreed to rebrand.
AN INVERARAY community group has rebranded itself in an attempt to inspire locals.
The Inveraray Community Company has changed its name to Inspire Inveraray, in a move to create wider appeal and set itself apart from other community groups in the area.
Under the new guise of Inspire Inveraray, the community company has a number of purposes, including the management of community land and assisting with the development and regeneration of Inveraray.
As well as a new name, the community company has also unveiled its new logo and a brand new Facebook page.
The decision to change the name was taken at last month’s community company meeting and the final choice, Inspire Inveraray, was the overwhelming favourite of the committee.
At that meeting it was also agreed that the company articles will be redrawn to widen the scope of its work and expand the boundaries of its remit in Inveraray. This is to try to match up the community company’s geographical boundaries with that of the community council.
In a statement announcing the changes on its Facebook page, an Inspire Inveraray spokesperson said: ‘Our aim is to build on the assets we already own – such as the community hall which we aim to restore, rejuvenate and allow it to once again be utilised by the community and as a pillar in the community life of the town. In the future we will also strive to work on the regeneration of the area by creating new developments within the town and the surrounding area for the benefit of the community.’
The next Inspire Inveraray meeting will be on Thursday July 13 at 7.30pm in the Nicol Hall, Inveraray.
