A 26-year-old man was is­sued with a £40 fixed penalty no­tice for con­sum­ing al­co­hol in a pub­lic place, in con­tra­ven­tion of lo­cal by­laws, at 6pm on Friday June 8 in Lochnell Street, Lochgilp­head.

On Saturday June 2, at 7pm, at the Cri­nan Canal swing bridge, a car crashed into the bridge walls. The two oc­cu­pants were not in­jured. The driver, a 19-year-old man, was charged with care­less driv­ing. A re­port will be sub­mit­ted to the procu­ra­tor fis­cal.

Po­lice stopped a car on Poltal­loch Street, Lochgilp­head, at 11am on Monday June 4 as the driver, a 56-year-old woman, was driv­ing with­out wear­ing a seat belt. The woman was is­sued with a £100 fixed penalty ticket.

Some­time be­tween 7pm on Friday June 1 and 2pm on Saturday June 2, in Har­bour Street, Tar­bert, the front bumper of a sil­ver Volk­swa­gen Jetta car was dented. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.

Two tyres on a trailer parked in Kin­tyre Place, Tar­bert, were punc­tured some­time be­tween noon on Tuesday June 5 and 4pm on Wednesday June 6. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the theft of a bur­gundy Haro ladies' moun­tain bike from MacKin­tosh Way, Lochgilp­head, some­time be­tween Wednesday June 6 and Thursday June 7.
