MOJO fever is rising

Argyllshire Advertiser - - LEISURE -

There’s just two weeks to get your mojo going for the concert of the year.

MOJO is a celebration of unsigned acts around Argyll, featuring acts like Citizen 9, 4Below, The Hollow Mountain String Band, Liam Somerville, Stephen Skinn and The Brambelles, all with their own original music to showcase.

Volunteer Dan Griffiths explained what MOJO is all about: ‘MOJO Argyll is a small, down-to-earth team of volunteers helping local original artists to get heard.

‘We do it purely for our love of unique, raw music and keenness to see what talent we have in our own backyard.

‘MOJO is non-profit-making and non-funded and all proceeds from the event are shared between the acts and set up costs. We have professional sound and lighting and a licensed bar with real ales.’

Join the bands in Craignish Village Hall on Saturday October 20 for a once-in-alifetime event, a night never to be experienced again.

Tickets can be bought at Lochgilphead’s Argyll Book Centre, Oban Music and Ardfern stores for £8 or £10 at the door.

Liam Somerville will be at this year’s concert.
