A man aged 46 has been charged with stealing fuel from vehicles parked in the Argyll and Bute Council yard in Kilmory at 4pm on Saturday September 29. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Driver had drugs
The driver of a car stopped by police for a routine check was found in possession of cannabis. The 23-year-old woman was charged and issued with a warning after she was stopped at 2am on the A83 at Lochgilphead on Tuesday October 2.
On Tuesday October 2 at 10pm, a car was stopped by police on the A83 at Lochgair for a routine check. Inquiries revealed the car had no insurance.
The driver, a 21-year-old man, was charged and the vehicle was seized. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
At 2pm on Wednesday October 3, checks revealed a vehicle had no MOT and the driver, a 25-year-old man, was charged and issued with a £100 fixed penalty after being stopped by police on the A816 near Ardfern.
A Ford Fiesta was driven in a careless manner and at excessive speed at 1am on Monday October 8 on the A83 at Inveraray. The car was stopped by police and the 27-year-old man who was driving was issued with a £100 fixed penalty ticket and three penalty points.
On Wednesday October 3, a car was stopped for a routine check at 11pm, on Campbell Street, Lochgilphead. The driver, a 28-year-old man, was found with cannabis. The man was charged and issued with a warning.
No licence or insurance
A woman aged 78 has been charged with driving without a licence and with no car insurance after being stopped by police for a routine check at 10am on Saturday October 6 on Poltalloch Street, Lochgilphead. The driver was charged and the vehicle was seized. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Overtaking at speed
At 9am on Saturday October 6, a blue BMW KTM motorcycle was driven in a careless manner while overtaking other vehicles at excessive speed on the A83 between Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig. The bike was stopped by police and the man, aged 56, who was driving was charged. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A pane of glass in a greenhouse in Manse Brae, Lochgilphead, was smashed between 7pm on Friday October 5 and 6pm on Saturday October 6. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
