Poppies with a difference to mark centenary

Argyllshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

Remembrance Day this year takes on a particular poignancy as it falls 100 years after the end of the First World War.

To mark the occasion, Poppy Scotland has created a special type of poppy with gold lettering embossed on the petals, available for a slightly greater donation than the usual.

Conventional poppies will be available, but there will be a limited number of the special edition among them. They will be available from Poppy Day on Saturday November 10 in Mid Argyll.
