Blackies and artwork at Dalmally tup sale

-

As buyers and sellers gathered for the annual Dalmally tup sale, United Auctions hosted a charity auction in support of Scotland’s rural charity RSABI.

The sale of an original oil painting was held during the sale of 1,212 Blackface shearlings, aged rams and ram lambs on Saturday October 20.

The painting, Market Day at Dalmally, was donated by Alan Watson, former managing director of United Auctions, who was presented with the work on his retirement in 1999.

The painting, by the late John Prentice, was sold to Ian Hunter, Dalchirla, for £2,000 in aid of RSABI.
