Take up challenge

-

Sir, As we enter the new year, I am calling on people all over Scotland to save lives in 2019 by supporting Bowel Cancer UK, the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. Around 1,600 Scottish people die each year from bowel cancer, making it the second biggest cancer killer – but with your help we can change that.

This year, why not use your New Year’s resolution to support vital research and lifesaving work to stop people dying of bowel cancer? Get fit and fund raise by joining a Kilt Walk in 2019. Or take part in Bowel Cancer UK’s Step up For 30 campaign this June, which challenges you to get active for 30 minutes every day for 30 days. For an even bigger challenge, why not tackle The Great Scottish Run or the Edinburgh Marathon Festival?

It’s because of people like you we can continue to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Interested? Visit bowelcanceruk.org.uk to find out more. Claire Donaghy, head of Scotland for Bowel Cancer UK.
