MAYDS members recognised

Some members of the Just About Music (JAM) group of the Mid Argyll Youth Development Service (MAYDS) have received an award for their hard work and achievements throughout the year.

A MAYDS social media post said: ‘The difference in some of our young people in the last year has been astounding. A year ago they barely played or sang at weekly sessions and would never in a million years have played in public or organised their own events. Now they have played at their own live gig and performed at the Christmas lights. They already have lots of ideas for next year and most importantly they come every week and enjoy it.

‘Some of the change can be credited to our amazing musician Neil who has worked extremely hard with them, but most of it has to be credited to our young people.

‘They have put in a massive amount of hard work this year and deserve every bit of recognition for it. Well done to you all.’
