Young vandals put things right

A case of vandalism at Blarbuie Community Woodland in Lochgilphead ended in a festive good news story.

Volunteers at the community woodland discovered the remains of a fire among the trees just before Christmas and reported it to the police. There was delight, though, for Blarbuie workers when they returned after the festive break.

Lochgilphead officers identified the youths responsible and took them to the scene – where the young people took it upon themselves to clean up the mess they had created while police officers looked on.
