Start the year with a digital boost for business
Business Gateway Argyll and Bute is encouraging business owners to take advantage of a range of nine DigitalBoost workshops.
Designed specifically to help small businesses improve their digital skills, the free workshops are filling up fast so anyone keen to attend is being urged to book a place as soon as possible.
The starting point for anyone not sure how their business might benefit from digital marketing is the Enhance Your Business With Digital workshop running in Dunoon on January 22 and Helensburgh on March 6.
Explore how to overcome some of the fears and perceived barriers to getting involved along with some simple next steps to enter the world of digital. Ideal for businesses which have dabbled with social media but have yet to see real results is the Digital Marketing Strategy workshop is in Helensburgh on February 6.
It includes time-efficient techniques for driving traffic to a website, digital trends and how to work more strategically with the big search engines to improve the quality of search results.
New this year is Pinterest, Instagram and Photography for Business Online, running in Oban on February 1, Lochgilphead on February 7, Helensburgh on February 19 and Dunoon on February 26.
This workshop covers using image-sharing apps Pinterest and Instagram to grow a business, including how to shoot, process and upload photos.
Learn how to create short and effective videos without pain or expense, including how to plan, shoot, edit and upload without specialist kit or expertise at the Video Production for Social Media workshop in Lochgilphead on February 21 and Dunoon on March 12.
Paid For Advertising in Helensburgh on January 23 and Inveraray on March 13, aims to increase the effectiveness of paid-for online advertising.
It covers the merits of different types of paid-for online options and the mix of platforms to choose from, including tips on ad content, sizes, keyword planning, tracking and analysis.
Twitter and Hootsuite runs in Lochgilphead on January 31 and Dunoon on February 20 and is a workshop for businesses that already use Twitter as part of their digital marketing strategy and wish to produce more engaging content, reach a wider audience and measure the effectiveness.
Web and Social Media Analytics in Oban on February 8 unlocks Google Analytics so you can clearly see where your website traffic is coming from and why, transforming your website’s effectiveness.
Other workshops include Producing Engaging Online Content in Lochgilphead on February 27 and Email Marketing in Oban on February 28.
