❚ At around 2pm on July 19, in Barmore Road, Tarbert, a motor vehicle collided with a White Swift Kontiki motorhome and failed to stop. Police are investigat­ing and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

❚ On July 20 at around 8.30am, on the A83 at Inveraray, a car was stopped and the 44-year-old male driver was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with the offence and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

❚ Sometime between midday on July 15 and 10am on July 21, firewood was stolen from an outbuildin­g and a perimeter fence was damaged on land near Eredine, East Loch Aweside. Police are investigat­ing.

❚ Around midnight on July 23 on the A83 at Ardrishaig, a car was stopped and searched by police. A 24-year-old man was found in possession of cannabis. He was issued with a recorded police warning.

❚ On July 24, a man was arrested and charged in Hillfoot Terrace, Tarbert, for sending threatenin­g and abusive text messages to a woman. The 36-year-old was held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

❚ A man, aged 23, was arrested for behaving in an abusive manner at 11.45pm on July 24 in Argyll Street, Lochgilphe­ad. He then struggled with police, resisted arrest and was found in possession of cocaine. He was charged and a report sent to the procurator fiscal.

❚ At 1.45am on July 25, a man, aged 21, was arrested for assaulting another man in MacKintosh Way, Lochgilphe­ad. He was charged and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

❚ Sometime between 2.40am on July 11 and noon on July 25, the rear wiper on a white BMW, parked in Corran Court, MacKintosh Way, Lochgilphe­ad was damaged. Police are investigat­ing.

❚ In MacKintosh Way, Lochgilphe­ad, on July 25 at 8.50pm, a 30-year-old man was charged with behaving in an abusive manner and contacting another man in breach of bail conditions. He was also found in possession of cannabis. He was held for court and a report sent to the procurator fiscal.

❚ At 12.45am on July 26, at Millers Bridge, Lochgilphe­ad, a teenager was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of cannabis. The man, 19, was issued with a recordable police warning.

❚ At around 4.30pm on July 26, in Ross Crescent, Lochgilphe­ad, a vehicle was stopped and the driver, a man, aged 31, was arrested for failing a roadside drug test and being in possession of cannabis. Subsequent­ly a blood sample was taken for analysis.
