The time has almost come when the thing that we all dream of is within touching distance. It's just a few more weeks until you can walk into a bar, pub, restaurant or cafe and order a meal that you haven't had to cook yourself! And even better, a glass of wine or your favourite tipple too.

The low down... From April 26, outdoor hospitality can open till 10pm, with alcohol permitted. Indoor hospitality is permitted without alcohol, closing at 8pm. From May 17, further reopening of hospitality: bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes can stay open until 10.30pm indoors with alcohol permitted and two hour time-limited slots, and until 10pm outdoors with alcohol permitted. Not all hospitality businesses will reopen on April 26 – call ahead to find out what they are planning to do – and get that table
