Wreath laid in memory of Duke of Edinburgh by Inveraray RBLS
As the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh was conducted at Windsor on Saturday April 17, a wreath in his memory was laid at Inveraray war memorial.
The Duke saw service during the Second World War with the Royal Navy. He passed away on April 9, aged 99, and received a ceremonial royal funeral at St George’s
Chapel in Windsor Castle. Laid by Alastair Rodden ahead of a national one-minute silence at 3pm, the poppy wreath carried the message: ‘In remembrance of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, from the Royal British Legion, Inveraray and District branch and the people of Inveraray.’
