Scott smashes PB and raises cash for MS Centre in London Marathon
Lochgilphead MS Centre got firmly behind former Ardrishaig man Scott McMillan as he smashed his fundraising target and his personal best time at the London Marathon on Sunday.
Scott, who now lives in Glasgow, had his closest friends and family in London to cheer him on.
But saying a big thank for his efforts, Paula Cameron and Jessica McMullan opened the MS Centre on Sunday morning and invited people to come along and cheer him on via the live stream.
Scott had originally hoped to raise £3,500 for the Multiple Sclerosis Centre Argyll. But he went well beyond that with an amazing £5,474 showing on his JustGiving page on Tuesday.
As for his personal best, he destroyed that by a full 10 minutes – all credit to Scott. He completed the London Marathon in three hours and 23 minutes.
