Rockin’ Tarbert Music Festival

Tarbert Music Festival returns this year with a stellar line-up and an eclectic mix of artists that will ensure there will be “something for everyone” to enjoy.

Friday night, September 20, sees iconic 80s pop legends The Bluebells headline the Big Gig in The Hall.

Famous for their huge global smash hit Young at Heart, the band have been a staple of the Scottish music scene for four decades and released a new album in 2023, The Bluebells in the 21st Century.

They followed that up with sold-out shows and festival appearances across the UK.

On Saturday September 21 at the marquee, which will be the beating heart of the festival this year, there will be a new singer-songwriter showcase.

DJ Lewis will get the party started with some banging tunes before sets from David Wilts, Allan Purvis and Sean Findlay. Three of Scotland’s finest up and coming singer songwriters, they have been wowing audiences across the UK at showcase events and headline sets. Sean Findlay has his own weekly residency at Glasgow’s iconic King Tuts.

On Saturday evening, there will be another new event, with a foot-stomping ceilidh. The Twirl in the Tent will be headlined by West Loch Ceilidh Band, led by local musician Amber Blake with support from Loch Fyne Pipe Band.

On Sunday September 22 the whole thing comes to a full force conclusion with female-fronted rock ’n’ roll in the marquee.

Famous Last Words will open proceedings and will be followed by the amazing Roisin McCarney and the festival will be closed by Scotland’s own The Hedrons. Sixteen years on from their debut, The Hedrons are back with a new album Tired of Taking.

The Hedrons have toured extensively in the US and Europe, supporting the Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop and Alice In Chains to name but a few.

There will be live sets in the bars and hotels and activities throughout the village over the weekend.
