PABLO PICASSO: THE LEGACY OF YOUTH
Until 17 July
No other artist represents the modern age quite as much as Pablo Picasso. Yet many forget the man who transformed the ways in which the world could be depicted grew up in the 19th century. The contrasting values of these two eras caused much friction for the artist and is something explored in this exhibition focused on his formative years. From charcoal and crayon drawings created in his early teens to his later adventures into Impressionism and Cubism, the work goes on show alongside that of artists he admired, including Bonnard, Degas and Monet.
