Among art’s greatest polymaths is Albrecht Dürer, who was not only a master draughtsman, painter and printmaker, but also an accomplished writer and theoretician. Concluding a ve-year collaboration between the Barber Institute and the Royal Collection Trust, this small but signi cant exhibition reveals how the Renaissance man took advantage of new technologies in printmaking, the growing social mobility of artists and an expansion in travel and communication to make his extraordinary talents known across Europe.
