The interpretation of art is always in ux and encouraging the process is this collection of works. Nearly 100 paintings, ranging from the 17th Century to the present day, have been brought together to explore the representation of people of African, Caribbean and Asian heritage. The result is a collection that examines identity, stereotypes and unequal power relationships from oft-forgotten perspectives and previously silenced voices.
